Ghost

always watching over me
who could it be?
i assume it's a ghost
that follows me from coast to coast
it doesn't keep me safe at night
it doesn't teach me wrong from right
but it helps me when i need it most
that very loving ghost
it may not help me at the moment
when someone teases or they torment
but its there soon after
to turn tears into laughter
it helps me heal those deep set wounds
that are more annoying than raccoons
i'd be lost without my ghost
the one who has helped me the most
